INTO A CIRCLE – Reunited new wave band announce headline London show

Marking their return to the live stages of the capital for the first time in over three decades, the cult new wave band will be performing at London’s OSLO venue on Friday 4th November 2022.

Reunited with the original line-up of Paul “Bee” Hampshire and Barry Jepson, the duo are back writing, recording and performing together again after 34 years of dormancy.

The duo’s headline show promises an unmissable opportunity to hear some brand new material that the band have been cooking-up in recent months, such as recent single “Mercenaries”, as well as the chance to reacquaint with choice cuts from In2a0’s classic back catalogue. As Bee states of the London show: “We will be revisiting and playing some of the old material, although perhaps not the obvious contenders, that would be just too predictable…”.

Into A Circle AKA In2a0 formed in December 1985 from the ashes of legendary post/punk band Getting The Fear, as In2a0 the pair would go on to release a string of boundary-pushing singles including “Rise” and “Forever” (featuring the bittersweet accompaniment of Rose McDowall of Strawberry Switchblade), plus the funk-tinted No.5 Indie Chart Hit “Evergreen”. In 1988, Into A Circle released their only studio album: ‘Assassins’. Produced by Larry Steinbachek (Bronski Beat), it would reach a peak of No.7 in the UK Indie Charts of Summer 1988 and become something of a cult classic for years to come. Playing their last shows in 1989, Into A Circle announced their reunion in 2021 with plans for new live shows (including a *special guest* feature at Tomorrow’s Ghosts Festival 2022 in Whitby) and new studio recordings.
