Tomorrow’s Ghost Festival Announce First Artists

Ghostwriter Consultancy & Events is pleased to confirm that the festival which is unafraid to paint the town black will return to Whitby for Halloween next year

The ultimate celebration of all things gothic and alternative, returns to its spiritual home between Friday 29th & Sunday 30th October 2022.

Alluring artists from across Europe & the USA, the first acts to be announced who will be haunting the hallowed halls of the Whitby Pavilion in 2022 are Into A Circle, Ghost Dance, Balaam And The Angel, Evil Blizzard, Bootblacks and All My Thorns. The festivals headliners are to be announced.

In a bonafide festival exclusive, audiences will witness a performance from reunited special guests: Into A Circle, in what will be their first show since 1989.  The noir new wave band of Paul “Bee” Hampshire and Barry Jepson will return to the stage in what is certain to be an emotional comeback. The duo, once of the legendary post/punk band Getting The Fear, will be digging into their past including cuts from their seminal debut album ‘Assassins’, and even revealing brand new studio material for the very first time.

Also joining the bill will be very special guests and goth rock originals Ghost Dance & Balaam And The Angel. Evil Blizzard will present their sensory-blitzing annual show ‘Blizzoween’. Preston’s grimmest gang have a hard-earned reputation as one of the most ingenious and charismatic live experiences on the music scene today.

Elsewhere on the bill, New York City’s new favourite nocturnal noiseniks Bootblacks will be flying into the festival. Modern-day goth scene flag-bearers All My Thorns, comprising members of Soma Dawn and Sometime The Wolf, will be packing-in progressive new age goth / metal cuts galore

Previous editions have hosted acts including Wayne Hussey & The Divine, Peter Hook & The Light, New Model Army, Paradise Lost, Fields of the Nephilim, Pop Will Eat Itself, The Chameleons, Pink Turns Blue, Salvation, Evi Vine, The Membranes, The Eden House, Sometime The Wolf, The Society, Terminal Gods, Sweet Ermengarde, Saigon Blue Rain, Christine Plays Viola, Mercury’s Antennae and Clan of Xymox.

We are excited to report that we are in advanced discussions with the Bram Stoker Estate in the UK and America to agree a partnership to explore the enormous legacy of Bram Stoker and how this can become part of the Festival. Both parties hope to announce details in due course.

The festival is on general sale from Friday November 26th, 2021
